Every child is different. Embracing these differences, as we aim to do, creates a rich, diverse community, in which children are encouraged to be passionate about everything they do.
The modern world can put children under pressure to grow up before their time. These pressures can come not only from social media and advertising, but also from the most well-meaning. As educators and parents we must be certain that the expectations we place on each child are truly in the interests of that child’s happiness and well-being.
This is what is meant by our motto ‘the days that make us happy make us wise’ — taken from a John Masefield poem. It is not an invitation to stay in the comfort zone; far from it, is about the effort and imagination that go into making each child’s education something special.
