High Praise for Moffats from InspectorsMoffats had a glowing report from the Independent Schools Inspectorate following their inspection of October 2006. Click here to open the full ISI report. The inspectors, led by Dr. Danice Iles, concluded: ‘In each aspect of education, the school has maintained or improved upon the good standards reported in the previous inspection. This is due to the extraordinary commitment to education in its widest sense which is the ruling passion of life at Moffats. Pupils have a joie de vivre which is infectious and which is a reflection of this family school which takes each child to its heart and where every child matters.’ In identifying particular strengths of the education provided at Moffats the inspectors noted ‘the pastoral care of the highest quality, the very effective provision for individual learning needs, and the very good start given to pupils in Little Moffats.’ Headmaster Mark Daborn says: ‘We are delighted with this report, which confirms the value of what we are doing at Moffats. I am particularly pleased that the section indicating the areas we need to develop next are all ones that we have identified ourselves, and the report acknowledges that these are already in progress.’ The full report is available on the Independent Schools Inspectorate website and can be accessed at: http://www.isi.net/HistoricalReports/0715_06.htm All prospective parents visiting the school will be given a copy to read and to take away if requested.
