Changing the World with Poetry

Moffats seniors get their messages across.

Pupils in the top three forms at Moffats have been using poetry to get their own personal messages across about what we are doing to our planet and what needs to be done to save it.

The Big Green Poetry Machine is for young writers who want to make the world a better place, and Moffats has sent entries from the senior forms of the school.

"The children have had a good deal of fun with their poetry writing," says English teacher Naomi Conway, who was the catalyst for Moffats' participation. "They have produced some exciting and interesting work."

The Big Green Poetry Machine is run by Young Writers, which has been publishing childrens' poetry for over 18 years.  Successful entries go on to be published.
